OakBook allows you to create and manage personal wellness content. Depending on the features you use, the app may store:
- Journal entries
- Habit quests and progress
- Mood records
- Sleep, water, and meal tracking
- Nutrition information
- Life Lists & Vision Boards
- Reflection exercises
- Photos you choose to attach
- App preferences and settings
Google Sign-In
If you choose to enable automatic cloud backups, OakBook uses Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication to securely authenticate your Google account.
During sign-in, we may access basic profile information provided by Google, including your name, email address, and profile photo. This information is used only to identify your account and enable backup functionality.
Google Drive Backups
OakBook offers optional automatic backups to your personal Google Drive. Backups are created only after you sign in and enable the feature.
Your backup files are stored in your own Google Drive account. We do not store your journals or backup files on our own servers.
Google Drive access is used only to create, update, restore, and manage your OakBook backup files.
How Your Data Is Stored
By default, all personal data is stored locally on your device.
If you enable Google Drive Backup, backup files are stored in your personal Google Drive account. You can disable backups or revoke Google Drive access at any time through your Google Account settings.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your information remains under your control.
Permissions
OakBook requests permissions only when required for features you choose to use.
- Photos – Attach images to journal entries.
- Storage – Backup and restore data.
- Biometric Authentication – Securely unlock the app.
- Internet Access – Google Sign-In and cloud backups.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Your personal content remains on your device unless you choose to back it up to your own Google Drive account.
Children's Privacy
OakBook is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
